How to Choose That Special Watch

There are many great watches on the market and the price can vary from thousands of pounds to watches that are around the one hundred pound mark. Before buying a watch you need to ask yourself some questions as the result will determine what you decide to choose.

The first question you should ask yourself is “what do I need a watch for”? Telling the time obviously, but does it need to be durable such as a Titanium watch? Do you want to wear it whilst spending time in the water as you will need to consider sell samsung watch? Are you an athlete? If so you will need to look at buying a sports watch which is both durable and probably water resistant too. There are different types of watches such as complication, movement, quartz self winding and water resistant and male and female watches too. So spending a little time on thinking about these questions will help you buy the right watch.

A trip to your local jeweller is probably best having answered your own questions. They will be experienced in selling watches and can point out the best features for you and give you an idea of what type of watch you can get for your budget.

Of course you can buy your watch on line and you will probably find that you will have more choices, but can you tell a fake watch from a real one and are you getting the best deal? My grandmother always used to say; “if it’s too good to be true then it probably is”. So if you come across a well known make of watch called the Oyster Perpetual Submariner for a hundred pounds then it is probably fake as they normally go for a few thousand. Buying from a jeweller who is experienced in selling watches is probably a safer bet. I don’t know about you but I also like to try my watches before I buy. When my wife bought me my first metal strapped watch having always worn leather, I found it took a while to get use to. Now, I wouldn’t go back.
